NFC Tags

One tap. Menu open.

A custom-branded NFC tag on every table. Guests tap it with a phone and your menu is open before they sit back. No app, no camera, no typing.

The basics

What is an NFC tag?

NFC is the same near-field technology your phone uses for contactless payments. Inside every tag sits a tiny passive chip and a copper antenna. It has no battery and needs no charging: the phone itself powers the chip for the split second a read takes.

We program each tag with a link to your menu. When a guest holds their phone near the tag, the menu opens in the browser. That is the whole trick, and it works on virtually every smartphone made since 2018.

One tap. Menu open.

No battery, ever

The chip draws its power from the phone that reads it. Nothing to charge, nothing to swap out.

Works in the dark

No camera, no light, no aiming. A tap works where a QR code struggles.

Short range on purpose

It reads only within a few centimeters, so guests always open the tag on their own table, never the neighbor's.

What it is for

One tag, many jobs

The tag connects your tables to everything your Vino menu already does.

Open the menu

The classic. Guest taps, menu opens, and the table is already identified if you run table ordering.

Win more Google reviews

A happy guest taps on the way out and lands on your Google review page. More stars, less asking.

Grow your customer club

One tap joins your loyalty club with a phone number. Your marketing list builds itself.

Promote what matters

Point a tag at a special, an event page or a new dish. Reprogram any time, the tag stays on the table.

The Vino tag

Built for restaurant life

A sealed, industrial tag designed around your brand and made to survive your busiest Friday night.

The Vino tag

Your brand, not ours

Full-color custom design with your logo and colors. It looks like part of the table, because it is.

Sealed and spill-proof

Industrial epoxy shrugs off water, alcohol, oil, sun and daily cleaning sprays.

QR backup printed

Every tag also carries your QR code, so older phones and camera-only guests are never locked out.

Stays put for years

Thin industrial adhesive backing for tables, bars, walls and doors. It holds.

How it works

From our studio to your tables

  1. We design it

Send your logo and brand colors. You approve a mockup before anything goes to production.

  2. We program it

Each tag is encoded and tested against your live menu before it leaves us.

  3. You stick it

Peel, place, press. Tables, bar, entrance or rooms. Installation takes minutes, not days.

  4. Guests tap

The menu opens instantly, and you watch the taps roll in from your analytics dashboard.

At the entrance

Waiting guests check the menu before they sit down. Faster table turns.

At the pickup counter

A tag where takeaway orders are collected sends customers home with your full menu.

Questions about the tags

Everything restaurant owners ask us about NFC tags.

No. Tapping an NFC tag opens your menu directly in the phone's browser. There is nothing to download, install or sign up for.

Every Vino tag also has your QR code printed on it, so any phone with a camera gets in. No guest is ever locked out of your menu.

Never. The chip inside is passive: it draws the tiny amount of power it needs from the phone that reads it. There is nothing to charge and nothing that wears out.

The tags are sealed in industrial epoxy and built for restaurant life, but accidents happen. Tell us and we will program and ship a replacement, usually at no cost for active customers.

Yes. Tags can be reprogrammed. If you want a tag to point to a special, an event or a new menu next month, the physical tag stays exactly where it is.

One per table is the standard setup. Many venues add a few more at the bar, entrance and pickup counter. Tell us about your floor plan and we will recommend the right number.

Tags are available to every Vino customer as an add-on. Pricing depends on quantity and design. Talk to us and we will put together a quote for your venue.
